Meatloaf with Brown Sugar Glaze

Meatloaf with Brown Sugar Glaze

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small onions, finely chopped
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 2 tbsp iSpice WellnessTM Meat Sauce Seasoning*
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp old fashioned grainy mustard
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup tomato ketchup

Directions

Step 1

In la large mixing bowl, combine the beef, eggs, onion, carrot, iSpice WellnessTM Meat Sauce Seasoning, milk, breadcrumbs, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Knead the mixture until just combined. Don't mix too much or meatloaf will be tough.

Step 2

Scrape mixture out of bowl into a greased loaf pan and smooth out the top.

Step 3

In the same bowl, stir together the sugar and ketchup until well mixed.

Step 4

Cover the meatloaf in sauce, wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate 1 hour to overnight.

Step 5

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 6

Let meatloaf stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before baking.

Step 7

Bake in the oven for 1 hour or until juices run clear.

Step 8

Serve hot or serve cold in a sandwich.
