Cinnamon Roll Latte recipe

Cinnamon Roll Latte recipe

Few things evoke a sense of comfort and indulgence quite like a freshly baked cinnamon roll, with its sweet icing and the spicy aroma that fills the air. But what if you could translate that comforting flavor into a warm, inviting drink? Enter the Cinnamon Roll Latte. This beverage offers the beloved flavors of a cinnamon roll, combined with the robust and comforting qualities of a latte.

Ingredients:

  • 2 shots of espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup of milk (any kind you prefer)
  • 2 tablespoons of cinnamon syrup
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Cinnamon sugar, for sprinkling

For the Cinnamon Syrup:

  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 3 cinnamon sticks

Instructions:

To Make the Cinnamon Syrup:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the syrup thickens slightly.
  3. Remove from the heat and let it cool. Once cool, you can remove the cinnamon sticks. The syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

To Make the Latte:

  1. Brew your espresso or coffee and pour it into a large mug.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it is steaming but not boiling. Alternatively, you can heat the milk in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Froth the milk until it’s foamy. You can do this using a milk frother, by shaking it in a jar (be careful, it's hot), or by whisking vigorously.
  4. Stir the cinnamon syrup into the hot coffee.
  5. Pour the frothed milk into your mug with the coffee and syrup.
  6. Top with whipped cream if desired, and sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon sugar for that classic cinnamon roll touch.
