Ingredients
For the crust:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4–5 tbsp cold water
For the filling:
- 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
- 1 tsp chicken seasoning
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp fresh basil leaves (chopped)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
- 1/2 cup diced vegetables (optional: onions, spinach, or bell peppers)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk or cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper

Prepare the crust:
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add cold butter and combine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add cold water and mix until the dough comes together.
- Roll out the dough and press it into a 9-inch pie dish. Chill for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.

Prepare the filling:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked chicken, chicken seasoning, paprika, and basil leaves.
- Spread the chicken mixture, cheese, and vegetables evenly in the prepared crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the filling.

Bake:
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the quiche is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.

- Serve warm or at room temperature, with a side salad or on its own.
