How to making meatloaf

How to making meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional toppings: additional ketchup or BBQ sauce, bacon strips, sliced mushrooms, etc.

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x5-inch (23x13 cm) loaf pan.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands or a wooden spoon until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 3

Transfer the mixture into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Step 4

If you like, add any desired toppings such as additional ketchup or BBQ sauce, bacon strips, or sliced mushrooms on top of the meatloaf.

Step 5

Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 60-75 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) in the center. You can use a meat thermometer to check the temperature.

Step 6

Once fully cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Step 7

Serve the meatloaf with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Step 8

Enjoy your delicious classic meatloaf!
