Slow Cooker Feijoada Brazilian Stew
Ingredients

1 (18 oz) can black beans, rinsed & drained

1 tbsp olive oil

1 1/2 lb. pork shoulder, trimmed & cut into medium cubes

1 (9 oz) ham hock
-
1 lb. beef chuck, cut into medium cubes

2 large yellow onions, finely chopped
-
5 cups low-sodium chicken broth
-
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
-
6 tbsp iSpice World FlavorsTM Latin Seasoning
-
fresh cilantro for garnish
-
chopped green onions for garnish
Directions
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over high heat.
Step 2
Brown the pork and beef cubes in bacon fat on all sides.
Step 3
Combine beans, meat, bacon, onions, chicken broth, vinegar and iSpice World FlavorsTM Latin Seasoning in a slow-cooker.
Step 4
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until meat falls apart. Remove bone from ham hock (if there is one) and shred meat. Return it to slow-cooker.
Step 5
Serve hot, over rice with cilantro and chopped green onions.
